Weekly Lesson Plans October 22nd-26th

Monday- This is the last day that students will have to work on their Natural Disaster Presentations in the library.

Tuesday- Four students will present their Natural Disaster power points.

Wednesday-Four students will present their Natural Disaster power points.

Thursday- Three students will present their Natural Disaster power points. Witht he time left over students will watch a video clip about some of the natural disasters they researched.

Friday- No School.  Parent Teacher Conferences

Oct 15-19

Weekly Lesson Plans October 15th-19th

Monday- Students will take the Discovery Education Science Test.

Tuesday- Students will begin a powerpoint project about a natural disaster.  Students will be signing up to research a volcano, disease, plague, or tsunami.  Students will have five days in class to complete their powerpoint.

Wednesday- Students will be in the library continuing to work on their natural disaster power point.

Thursday-Students will be in the library continuing to work on their natural disaster power point.

Friday-Students will be in the library continuing to work on their natural disaster power point.

Weekly Lesson Plans October 8th-12th

Monday- No School

Tuesday-Took notes and had a discussion over Chapter 3 S.3 about the Hydrosphere and Biosphere.  Homework: The Atmosphere/Hydrosphere and Biosphere worksheet

Wednesday- Work on chapter 3 study guide

Thursday- Trade and grade study guide and play the gameshow review

Friday- Chapter 3 Test and extra credit.  These are the last grades on 1st quarter.

Oct 1-5

Weekly Lesson Plans October 1st-5th

Monday- Lab Analyzing S and P Waves.  Students will do the first half of the lab.
Students will:
-Compare the movement of S and P waves generated by an earthquake
-Graph data regarding S and P wave travel times
- Explain the relationship between distance and seismic wave travel time using graphed data
- Combine data to locate the epicenter of a simulated earthquake by triangulation.

Tuesday-Students will comtinue to work on their Lab Analyzing S and P Waves.

Wednesday- Students will continue to work on their Lab Analyzing S and P waves. Due Thursday.

Thursday- Br #18 Why do planes fly so high, often 10km off the ground? pg.71  Quiz over Section1.  Notes and discussion over Chapter 3 S.2 The Atmosphere.  Video Clips The earth's Atmosphere, and Northern Lights. Homework: The Atmosphere worksheet
